Now offered Tuesdays 10am - 1pm in our studio!
What is community acupuncture?
Community acupuncture is the practice of treating patients together in a larger room/space instead of in a private room setting. The benefits of receiving community-style acupuncture are many: 1. Many people like the collective energy of the room which can feel comforting and more open 2. It can be fun and easy for friends and family to come in for a treatment together 3. It is more affordable and makes treatments more accessible to a wider community of patients 4. Treatments done in an open room setting are just as effective as private room sessions and can include powerful points using auricular acupuncture 5. Because of the affordability of community acupuncture, people can come in more regularly for treatments
How does community acupuncture work?
We offer community acupuncture on Tuesdays from 10am - 1pm only. (We may increase more days/hours in the near future). You can book your appointment online and select treatment type: community acupuncture. You will complete an online intake form ahead of your appointment. Rates: $60 for the initial visit and includes a 1 hour session. Return visits are $40. If you have a financial hardship, we can discuss a few monthly fee based options. Payment by cash or venmo only for community acupuncture.
What to expect at your community acupuncture session?
Once you arrive for your appointment, you will have a 20 - 25 min 1st visit assessment in a private room and then offered a spot in the studio for your community acupuncture treatment. Please wear loose fitting pants and clothes where we can easily access the arms, hands, legs as well as the ears.
Safety & Covid Precautions: All patients in both community acupuncture sessions or traditional acupuncture appointments in private treatment rooms must abide by all safety measures, complete pre-screen health questionnaires, and wearing masks are currently required in the studio. Until the city lifts all indoor mask mandates, we will abide by city regulations.
Our new clinic in the Marina was recently renovated in July 2019 and features several treatment rooms and a studio where we hold our community-style acupuncture and small classes/workshops. It is a clean, tranquil space that evokes calm and a healing energy the moment you walk in.
