Dr. Ahnee Min-Yau, LAc, DACM, Herbalist

Dr. Ahnee Min-Yau is a licensed acupuncturist and doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine specializing in women's health, fertility, pain management, musculoskeletal issues, sleep disorders, digestion, mind-body balance, and facial rejuvenation (using micro-needling, cosmetic acupuncture, gua sha, cupping, and more)!  She is also a holistic health educator and teaches classes on healing therapies like gua sha, herbal medicine, and acupuncture.

She received both her Masters and Doctorate in Traditional Chinese Medicine at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.  Prior to medicine, Dr. Ahnee had a long-standing career in Silicon Valley, understanding first hand the stress and rigor of working in hi-tech and the startup environment. Her business background also includes her Master's in East Asian Studies and International Finance and Business from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs. Lastly, she received her BA in Law & Society from UC Santa Barbara.

After losing her mom to breast cancer at a young age and her own personal struggles with fertility, she learned quickly how valuable our health truly is and that we must protect it.  When we wait until after we are diagnosed with a condition to start getting healthy, it can sometimes be too late, as she experienced with her mom's diagnosis of metastatic breast cancer.  Furthermore after finding limitations with Western medicine, Dr. Ahnee found herself researching complimentary and holistic medicine for answers that could help improve health and heal diseases naturally.  Through this journey, she believes that 'Chinese medicine found [me]'and that a path was created for her to share her story and help others. With dedication and a relentless commitment to service, she feels an obligation to use her experience to educate, empower, and support others in their health journey.  

Dr. Ahnee also has specific training at Sutter Health helping stroke and cancer patients with recovery as part of CA Pacific Medical Center's Regional Rehabilitation center. In addition, she worked at the ACTCM community clinic and ear clinic doing community-style acupuncture.  She is trained in Tui Na body work and educates patients on the importance of self-healing modalities like qi gong and tai qi.

Dr. Ahnee also helps patients feel and look their best with facial rejuvenation, using her training in Mai Zen facial acupuncture, micro-needling, nutrition and more.  Using her certification in Applied Clinical Nutrition, she guides patients on the importance of food as medicine, weight management, and healthy eating/lifestyle habits, and includes these important principles in every treatment plan.
