Insurance Benefits for Acupuncture

Acupuncture coverage under your Health Insurance plan

Since 2014, many Californians who have insurance gained access to acupuncture as an 'essential health benefit,' under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA).  This has been a positive win by increasing the accessibility of acupuncture to the American patient base, it widens the variety of effective treatment options and will potentially improve the overall cost-effectiveness of our healthcare system.

Are you covered?                                                                                                                               Our office can help you determine if your insurance provides coverage for acupuncture treatments.

If you have health insurance, please let the office know in advance of your first appointment so acupuncture benefits may be verified.*

*To initiate verification, please email taonaturalhealing@gmail.com with a photo or scan of the front and back of your insurance card, along with your date of birth. All personal information is kept strictly confidential, and will only be used to communicate with your insurance company.  The office will contact you with the results of your insurance inquiry.
