Acupuncture coverage under your Health Insurance planSince 2014, many Californians who have insurance gained access to acupuncture as an 'essential health benefit,' under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). This has been a positive win by increasing the accessibility of acupuncture to the American patient base, it widens the variety of effective treatment options and will potentially improve the overall cost-effectiveness of our healthcare system.

If you have health insurance, please let the office know in advance of your first appointment so acupuncture benefits may be verified.*
*To initiate verification, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with a photo or scan of the front and back of your insurance card, along with your date of birth. All personal information is kept strictly confidential, and will only be used to communicate with your insurance company. The office will contact you with the results of your insurance inquiry, usually within 24-48 hours.
Current Plan Coverage: We accept all PPO’s as an out-of-network provider. We currently are in-network with Cigna PPO plans, and Cigna HMO plans. We are in process to be an in-network provider for United Healtchare.
You can also use your FSA card or HSA account to purchase services and we will provide a Super bill for your visit. Most patients have no issues getting reimbursed using their FSA or HSA accounts.

We are not contracted with any other HMO’s.
We do offer discounted time-of-service rates for uninsured and under-insured patients. Payment in full of time-of-service fees, or co-pays/co-insurance, is due at each appointment. We accept cash, checks, credit cards, and flex-spending account (FSA) or HSA (health spending account) cards. Call our office for more info or to book an appointment.
